約創業於1700年(元祿年間),在1916年版《山形縣酒造百科》中被記錄為帶動當地釀酒業發展的先驅。1983年與當地農戶合作成立了高畠町酒米研究會,約半數的本地大米產區用於栽培釀酒米。酒藏追求清爽而有深度的口感,精心釀製「與餐食相伴的清酒」。
