初櫻酒造坐落於有吉佐和子小說中廣為人知的紀之川河畔,據說當年曾以馬背運送酒桶登上高野山。高野山是日本的世界文化遺產,般若湯本是寺院僧侶飲用的酒。純米吟釀高野山「聖」般若湯,採用2004年7月被列為世界文化遺產的高野山山麓地下水釀成,是名副其實的「高野山特別當地酒」。
