Takanoyama no Hannyato Hijiri Hatsusakura Junmai Ginjo is a premium expression from Hatsusakura Brewery under the Koyasan Hannyato label, elevated to junmai ginjo grade using Wakayama-grown rice. The Hijiri name evokes the sacred monks of Koyasan, and the sake offers refined ginjo aromas alongside a clean, elegant body brewed with spring water from the Izumi-Katsuragi mountains.

Our company is located on the banks of the Kinokawa, which is familiar in the novel of Ariyoshi Koyama, designated as a World Heritage Site, and is said to have carried a sake barrel on the back of the horse to Mt. Koyasan. Hannya -yu is a liquor that is drunk at the temple. Junmai Ginjo Koyasan "Saint" Hanwakayu is a "special Koyasan local sake" made in the underground water at the foot of Koyasan, which was designated as a World Heritage Site in July 2004.
