Description
Junmai Ginjo Asukagawa, named for the Asuka River that flows through the historically significant Asuka region of Nara Prefecture, connects this pure-rice ginjo to one of Japan's most ancient cultural landscapes, the cradle of early Japanese civilization and imperial culture. The Asuka River is celebrated in classical Japanese poetry for its clear, gentle flow, and its evocation here reflects the sake's clean, fragrant, and graceful character. Without added alcohol and with rice milled to ginjo standards, this sake from Kita Shuzo draws on the pure water and cultural heritage of the ancient Yamato heartland.
