沿革

1. 1833Founded in 1833 (Tenpo 4) by first-generation Kusumi Sakunosuke.
2. 1980In November 1980, obtained about 1,500 seeds of the rare rice variety Kamenoo.
3. 1981The following spring, 963 seedlings grew from the seeds, and by autumn 30kg of Kamenoo rice was harvested.
4. 1982In autumn 1982, harvested 4,800kg of Kamenoo rice.
5. 1983In winter 1983, the fragrant Junmai Daiginjo sake Kamenoo (Kameno-o) was born.
6. 1985In 1985, the spring water from behind the brewery was designated one of Niigata Prefecture's famous waters.
7. 1994In 1994, the story was featured in the TV drama series Natsuko no Sake (Fuji TV), introduced nationwide in Japan as well as in New York and Taiwan.
