Namba Shuzo is located at the northern edge of Tsuyama City in Okayama's former Mimasaka region, brewing sake with spring water from the sacred Nakayama Shrine and using only Okayama Prefecture rice. As the only female-led sake brewery in the prefecture, the brewery preserves traditional Bitchu-toji techniques through hands-on, manual production, with brewers completing finishing work in the koji room at 2 AM. Sakushumusashi, named for legendary swordmaster Miyamoto Musashi who was born in this region, is known for its smooth character, refined flavor, and a wide range that includes a high-dry variety reaching sake meter value +28.
