Takemura Brewery has been rooted in its community for approximately 270 years, founded by Omi merchants who established the brewery with a guiding commitment to producing sake to accompany meals. The brewery's Kyonoyume brand takes its name from Kyoto's dreamlike cultural identity, reflecting the brewery's deep connection to the Kyo region and its long history of food-centered brewing. Fushimi, where Kyoto's sake breweries have flourished for centuries, is characterized by its abundant soft spring water, which forms the foundation of Takemura's approach.
