Established in 1872 in Nakanojo Town, Gunma Prefecture, Kimusume Shuzo takes its name from the birth of a daughter, with a wish that she would grow to be loved by all. The sixth-generation owner has led a revival of traditional small-batch brewing since 2007, introducing the Sakuyabi line alongside the original Kimusume brand to reach sake drinkers beyond the local area.
