Futaho

Choryo Shuzo built its brewery in Koryo-cho, Nara in 1963 — a town flanked by the sake deity shrine Omiwa Jinja and the World Heritage site Horyu-ji, placing it at the geographic heart of Japan's sake heritage. The brand earned its national reputation as the pioneer of bottled taru sake, releasing Japan's first bottled cedar-barrel sake in 1964. Futaho is Choryo's aged junmai, crafted from Omachi rice grown in the birthplace of that variety in Okayama's Takashima area and bottle-aged at low temperature for depth and a long finish.
