Miinokotobuki Co., Ltd. was founded in 1922 in Mii County, Fukuoka Prefecture, taking its name from three wells of clear spring water that defined the land during the feudal period. The brewery built its reputation on ginjo-focused craftsmanship, earning recognition as the Fukuoka producer with the most stable sake quality and the highest ginjo brewing technology. Their Junmai Ginjo +14, with its double-sided label tied to the Slam Dunk manga character Mitsui Hisashi, became one of the most talked-about sake releases in Japan following the franchise's film adaptation.
