- 1871Founded in 1871 (Meiji 4) in Kanie, Aichi Prefecture, on land blessed with the Kiso River water system.
- 1956Yamada Shuzo Co., Ltd. was formally incorporated on June 21, 1956.
- 2019The flagship brand "Saiai" received the Excellence Award in the Junmai-shu category at the Nagoya Regional Taxation Bureau's 2019 Sake Tasting Competition.
- 2019"Saiai" received the Honor Prize in the Junmai-shu category at the Tokai Sake Awards 2019 (November 6, 2019).
- 2025"Suisen SWEET 18" won the Grand Prix in the Food & Beverage category at the 84th Japan Food Selection (March 6, 2025).
