沿革
- 1625Founded sake brewing in Chichibu in 1625 (Kan'ei 2).
- 1941Relocated headquarters to the grain-growing region of Hanyu, blessed with abundant water.
- 1959Renamed the company to Toa Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 1980Introduced pot stills and began in-house whisky distillation.
- 1994Completed the Heisei brewery for four-season sake brewing.
- 2002Obtained ISO9001:2000 certification and won a gold award at the National New Sake Awards for Haregiku Daiginjo.
- 2021Completed the Hanyu Distillery, resuming in-house malt spirit distillation, and relaunched the online shop 'Toa no Kura'.
- 2025Launched Hanyu GENESIS and opened the Hanyu Distillery Visitor Center.
