沿革
- 1917Omi Shuzo Co., Ltd. was formally founded and registered, with initial capital of 200,000 yen.
- 1954A new distillation building was constructed to coincide with Yokaichi's incorporation as a city, and its smokestack became a landmark of the brewery.
- 1966The company absorbed and merged with Shiga Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 1974Launched the junmai sake brand 'Omiji'.
- 1987Released its first daiginjo sake, 'Kinran', which won a gold medal at the National New Sake Awards the same year.
- 2015Launched the 'Omiryumon' series, which won the top gold award at the National Kanzake (warm sake) Contest and grew into the company's flagship line.
- 2016Launched the 'Omi Neko Masamune' sake series.
- 2024Formally surrendered all manufacturing licenses for sake, shochu, liqueur, and other alcoholic beverages, completing its withdrawal from sake production.
