沿革
- 1893Moriya Shuzo was founded in 1893 (Meiji 26) in the center of the Kujukuri area of Chiba Prefecture.
- 1916Since 1916 (Taisho 5), the brewery has produced its brewery-distilled junmai shochu 'Shusei'.
- 1990Launched Junmai Daiginjo 'Shidarezakura', developed jointly with a department store to showcase the finest Chiba-grown rice.
- 1993To mark its 100th anniversary, the brewery began selling 'Hyakunen no Shizuku', an unpasteurized, undiluted sake.
- 2023In 2023, revived heirloom 'Shinriki' rice seed stock preserved at a research institute was cultivated and used to commercialize the kimoto-brewed 'Maizakura Junmai Kimoto'.
