沿革
- 1751The Yamazaki family, merchants to the Nagaoka domain, founded the sake brewery as Ecchuya.
- 1882Acquired the Kashiwaya brewery from the former Nagaoka domain lord's Makino family.
- 1898The brewery was destroyed in the Great Nagaoka Fire and a new plant was built.
- 1943Ceased operations under wartime controls and sold the Zao plant.
- 1956Founded Hakuro Shuzo Ltd. and resumed brewing at a new plant.
- 1962Reorganized from a limited company into a corporation.
- 1974Relocated and rebuilt the plant at its current site in Tokamachi, Nagaoka.
- 1998A new brewery building was completed and began operation.
