Founded in 1871 in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture, Utsunomiya Shuzo named its brand Shikizakura after a poem by the founder celebrating the beauty of the seasons. Served on Japan Airlines international flights from 1991 to 2004, Shikizakura later earned a gold medal in the International Wine Challenge's sake category, cementing its reputation as one of Tochigi's most recognized labels.
