Fukui Syuzo was established in 1912 in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, and its flagship brand Shikaiou takes its name from the concept of becoming the world's finest sake, with the four seas representing all waters surrounding Japan. Brewing water is drawn from groundwater 50 meters below the Toyokawa River, and the brewery has refined its techniques over more than a century of navigating delicate sake production. Shikaiou aims to brew harmonious sake that respects both tradition and modern technique, charming drinkers through careful craftsmanship and stable quality.
