Takeuchi sake brewery was founded in 1744 in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, a castle town known as the City of Water for its abundant natural springs fed by the Suzuka mountains. Operating across nine generations, the brewery has crafted sake under the Ogakijo name in honor of Ogaki Castle, the historic stronghold at the heart of the city.
