Nagaragawa

Komachi Shuzo brews Nagaragawa in Gifu Prefecture using locally grown rice and the underground water of the Nagara River, one of Japan's celebrated clear streams. The brewery is known for its silent fermentation method, in which ambient music is played continuously inside the kura to calm the fermenting mash and draw out the rice's natural sweetness. The Sandaime (Third Generation) Nagaragawa series, a mature junmai ginjo aged in-bottle, is prized for its layered umami, gentle texture, and clean finish.
