Satou Shuzou Co., Ltd. is located in Miharu Town, Fukushima, a historic castle town best known for its centuries-old Miharu Takizakura weeping cherry tree. The brewery draws on spring water from the Abukuma mountain range and the techniques of Nanbu toji master brewers to produce the Miharu brand, with the flagship Miharu Koma junmai ginjo winning gold at the National New Sake Appraisal in the 2018 brewing year and excellence at the 2019 Tohoku Sake Appraisal.
