Aizu Ryugasawa is a limited-distribution sake brand from Eisen Shuzo in Fukushima Prefecture, named after the Ryugasawa spring, which is counted among the 100 finest waters in Japan from the Bandai Nishisanroku volcanic foothills. The brand follows a strict local identity, using Aizu water, Aizu-grown rice, and Aizu brewers throughout production. Distribution is intentionally restricted to select specialist retailers, giving Aizu Ryugasawa the character of a quiet, sought-after regional treasure.
