- 1896Akabu Shuzo was founded in Meiji 29 (1896).
- 2013The brewery relocated to Morioka in 2013. At that time the team was made up entirely of inexperienced brewers, who have since built their sake-making skills from scratch through hands-on experience and study, now practicing uncompromising, ever-evolving brewing.
