Gasanryu is the main label of Shindo Sake Brewery in Yonezawa, Yamagata, a region known for cold winters and pure subterranean water drawn from the Azuma mountain system at 20 meters depth. All expressions in this range use brewery-grown Dewa Sansan rice and are brewed with a philosophy of uncompromising local sake production.
