沿革

1. 1851Saemon, son of the 9th-generation Kanbei Yoshimura, branched off from the main family to found the Matsubaya Yoshimura house, initially selling Kyoto vegetables under the "Matsubaya" name.
2. 1896Relocated headquarters from Horiuchi village to Tsuchibashi in Fushimi and began rice and wheat milling for the Imperial Army.
3. 1917Acquired the rights to a sake brewery in Ogokamachi, Fushimi, and began sake brewing as "Honke Yoshimura Shuzojo."
4. 1920Built the Fushimi brewery in Kamiitabashi, Fushimi.
5. 1947Petitioned GHQ directly to revive sake brewing after wartime industry consolidation, and began selling the sake "Million Dollar."
6. 1956Incorporated as Yoshimura Shuzo Co., Ltd.
7. 2000Built a brewery (Tajima Kura) in Hamasaka, Hyogo, and relocated headquarters to Tajima.
8. 2004Built a new Tajima Kura west of the existing one and moved headquarters there.
