- 1849Founder Tamizo established Morinokikukawa Shuzo Honke (Meiji-era Kaei 2) in Sendai's Aramachi district, drawn by its clear spring water, after peddling traditional amazake in the Nanbu region.
- 2022After the brewery's first major renovation in 173 years, the company began brewing in a new kura and launched its new flagship brand 'Moritami' with six varieties, alongside opening the amazake cafe 'Moritami Sabo' on the brewery grounds.
