沿革
- 1836Founder Shirouji Furusawa established the sake brewery in Sagae, Uzen Province (present-day Yamagata Prefecture).
- 1948Reorganized the company as Sawa Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 1962Granted a license to manufacture liqueurs.
- 1965Completed the "Tokunokura" brewing warehouse.
- 1983Began selling unpasteurized nama sake and opened the brewery's sake history museum.
- 2000Launched the company website; the Sagae Sake Brewers Association dissolved into the new Yamagata Prefecture Sake Brewers Association; released "Sawamasamune Daiginjo Hojun."
- 2019Released a commemorative "Sawamasamune Junmai Daiginjo Reiwa" to mark the new Reiwa era.
- 2025Began producing "Yamagata Sanka" on behalf of the Yamagata Prefecture Sake Brewers Association.
