沿革
- 1872Received a sake brewing license from the prefectural government (Meiji 5, August); the business was run by shop owner Denzaburo Sakurai.
- 1873Sake production reached 100 koku under the brand name 'Sakuragawa' (Meiji 6).
- 1909Relocated to Naganohara, Naganohara Town (Meiji 42, November); shop owner Denzaburo Sakurai became the town's first mayor, serving four terms over ten years.
- 1953Asama Shuzo Co., Ltd. was established (Showa 28, October), with Takeshi Sakurai as president; obtained licenses for sake and Type-A shochu production.
- 1977Obtained a liqueur manufacturing license (Showa 52, October).
- 1988The Asama Shuzo Tourism Center opened and a new brewery factory building was completed (Showa 63, March).
- 1998A new store and second factory building for the Tourism Center were completed and opened (Heisei 10, September).
- 2014Takeshi Sakurai became president (Heisei 26, April).
