Sugao is the signature label of Katayama Shuzo in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, a name meaning bare face that reflects the brewery's commitment to unfiltered, unpasteurized, undiluted sake released exactly as pressed. Produced in three distinct versions from different rice origins, all are bottled as muroka nama genshu, and the junmai ginjo expression won a Silver Prize at the 2023 SAKE COMPETITION.
