Fukui Prefecture Benisashi plums and rock sugar are combined with 1993-vintage aged sake in this koshu umeshu, drawing on a base sake known for its well-balanced umami and sweetness. The extended room-temperature maturation at the Gifu storehouse lends a smoothness and depth to the plum liqueur that grows more pronounced over time.
