Honjozo named after the celebrated Sanada Taiheiki historical epic, brewed at a Nagano brewery founded in 1887 along the old Hokkoku Kaido highway in Ueda. Characteristically light and smooth with a soft, clean umami, it typifies the house style of unfussy, food-friendly sake from the historic castle town.
