沿革
- 1851Saemon, son of the 9th-generation Kanbei Yoshimura, branched off from the main family to found the Matsubaya Yoshimura house, initially selling Kyoto vegetables under the "Matsubaya" name.
- 1896Relocated headquarters from Horiuchi village to Tsuchibashi in Fushimi and began rice and wheat milling for the Imperial Army.
- 1917Acquired the rights to a sake brewery in Ogokamachi, Fushimi, and began sake brewing as "Honke Yoshimura Shuzojo."
- 1920Built the Fushimi brewery in Kamiitabashi, Fushimi.
- 1947Petitioned GHQ directly to revive sake brewing after wartime industry consolidation, and began selling the sake "Million Dollar."
- 1956Incorporated as Yoshimura Shuzo Co., Ltd.
- 2000Built a brewery (Tajima Kura) in Hamasaka, Hyogo, and relocated headquarters to Tajima.
- 2004Built a new Tajima Kura west of the existing one and moved headquarters there.
