1. 1943Kumano Brewing Co. was founded through the merger of several sake breweries whose individual histories dated back to the Edo period.
2. 2012The brewery's Junmai Daiginjo received an award at the National New Sake Appraisal (Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyokai) for the 2012 fiscal year.
3. 2012The Junmai Daiginjo won a Bronze Award at the International Wine Challenge 2012.
4. 2016The brewery launched a new product, Junmai Daiginjo Genshu Ginkaku, on June 9.
5. 2019The brewery launched Kuminoura Tokubetsu Junmai KENRO on July 1, featuring a label designed by contemporary calligraphy artist Ken-ro.
6. 2020The brewery began selling Genshu Natsu no Hiya, a rich sake intended to be enjoyed on the rocks, on May 1.
7. 2023The brewery's Daiginjo won a Gold Medal at the National New Sake Appraisal announced on May 24.
8. 2026The brewery's Daiginjo won an award at the National New Sake Appraisal announced on May 20.
