Founded as Yamazaki Goshi Kaisha in Hazu village (Meiji 36), using the trademark "Nisshin".
1920
Began using the trademark "Sonno" (Taisho 9).
1931
Began using the trademark "Sonnoh" (Showa 6), the brand name still used today.
1937
Introduced a low-temperature storage system for sake (Showa 12).
1974
Completely eliminated the addition of sugars to its sake (Showa 49).
1984
Won a gold medal at the National New Sake Awards (Zenkoku Shinshu Kanpyokai) for three consecutive years (Showa 59).
1993
Completed construction of a new brewing kura (Heisei 5).
2002
Launched the "Oku" brand (Heisei 14).
