Fondée en 1938, cette brasserie est implantée dans la région de Mashiko, célèbre pour sa poterie. Elle utilise l'eau douce souterraine de la rivière Kinugawa, dont la source se trouve dans les monts Nikko, et un riz soigneusement sélectionné pour élaborer un sake alliant tradition et savoir-faire. An Omi merchant founded the sake brewery "Tonoike Sogoro Shoten" in Utsunomiya, Tochigi, the origin of the Tonoike family sake business.
1937
Tonoike Itsugoro founded Tonoike Shuzoten in Mashiko as a branch of the family business, brewing under the brand name "Yachiyozuru."
2012
Began production of the new brand "Bo (望)".
2015
Toji Ono Makoto took the lead in earnestly advancing the brewery's sake-making.
2019
Launched the new brand "Tonoike AUTHENTIC."
2022
Won the President's Award (overall 1st place) at Kura Master in France.
2024
Won the Grand Prix at the US National Sake Appraisal for the second consecutive year, and received gold at the National New Sake Awards for the 10th consecutive year.
2025
Achieved the first-ever simultaneous 1st place finish in two categories at the Nanbu Toji Self-Brewed Sake Appraisal.
