1887
Acquired the sake brewing license originally held by the Ochi family's brewery on October 25, 1887 (Meiji 20).
1943
Due to wartime conditions, the brewery was designated a closed factory under the Enterprise Reorganization Act at the end of December 1943 (Showa 18).
1955
Four sake brewing families joined together to jointly found Kyowa Shuzo Co., Ltd. in 1955 (Showa 30).
1971
Registered the trademark "Hatsuyukihai" in 1971 (Showa 46), the name still used for the brewery's sake today.
