- 1875Founded in October 1875 by first-generation Rinkichi Okabe; began brewing "Matsuzakari" in Nishikozawa, Kuji District, Ibaraki.
- 1919Established Okabe Gomei Kaisha in October 1919.
- 1970Built a new bottling plant in October 1970.
- 2002Released a product officially licensed for the 2002 FIFA World Cup in May 2002.
- 2006Launched a limited new brand "Okabe" in April 2006.
- 2012Launched the Hitachiota Jizake Project and released the "Goendane" brand in February 2012.
- 2016The "Okabe" brand won first place in the Ibaraki Prefecture commercial sake election in October 2016.
- 2020Began brewing under a new structure with the owner as toji and staff in November 2020.
