Kusugiku

Hayashi Ryuhei Shuzojo, established in 1837 along the Imagawa River in Miyako, Fukuoka Prefecture, brews beneath the backdrop of Mount Hiko, whose spring water supplies both the brewery and the surrounding community. The Kusugiku name, meaning Kyushu Chrysanthemum, invokes a symbol of prosperity, beauty, and excellence that has defined the brand's character for nearly two centuries. With water accounting for roughly eighty percent of sake's composition, the brewery's proximity to one of Kyushu's finest mountain springs is central to its identity.
