- 1829An Omi merchant founded the sake brewery "Tonoike Sogoro Shoten" in Utsunomiya, Tochigi, the origin of the Tonoike family sake business.
- 1937Tonoike Itsugoro founded Tonoike Shuzoten in Mashiko as a branch of the family business, brewing under the brand name "Yachiyozuru."
- 2012Began production of the new brand "Bo (望)".
- 2015Toji Ono Makoto took the lead in earnestly advancing the brewery's sake-making.
- 2019Launched the new brand "Tonoike AUTHENTIC."
- 2022Won the President's Award (overall 1st place) at Kura Master in France.
