L'origine de la marque 'Senbanzuru' remonte à 1955, lorsque l'écrivain lauréat du prix Nobel Yasunari Kawabata, passant par Kusumi-cho alors qu'il rédigeait son roman 'Senbazuru', se lia d'amitié avec le président de l'époque, Toshiaki Sato, qui lui donna ce nom.

Founded in Kuju town by first-generation Hikoki Sato, originally under the brand name 'Hinode'.
1952
Novelist Yasunari Kawabata visited Kuju and, through his friendship with second-generation president Toshiaki Sato, the brand was renamed 'Senbazuru' (Thousand Cranes).
1954
Sato Shuzo Co., Ltd. was incorporated with 10 million yen in capital.
1975
Beginning this year, the brewery won the gold award at the National New Sake Awards for seven consecutive years.
2021
Fourth-generation Shunichiro Sato became president in April.
