- 1897Founded as "Fumoto Shuten" by 11 sake enthusiasts at the current site in Tosa City; the sake brewed from a never-drying spring known as "Man'nen no Izumi" was named "Kameizumi."
- 1944Under wartime national policy, six sake breweries in the former Takaoka district were consolidated into Koryo Shuzo Co., Ltd. (later Gyokuhai Shuzo); the current site began operating as its Takaoka production plant.
- 1965Toshikazu Nishihara became independent from Gyokuhai Shuzo and founded Kameizumi Sake Brewing Co., Ltd., becoming its fifth president.
- 1989Began producing premium classified sake (tokutei meisho-shu) following the abolition of the old grading system.
- 1998Began producing "Junmai Ginjo Genshu CEL-24."
- 2008Started an export business and expanded overseas.
- 2009Began producing "Konatsu Liqueur" and "Ginger Liqueur."
- 2013Began producing "Sparkling Junmai Ginjo KAMEIZUMI Perle," a bottle-fermented sparkling sake.
