Histoire
1872
Received a sake brewing license from the prefectural government (Meiji 5, August); the business was run by shop owner Denzaburo Sakurai.
1873
Sake production reached 100 koku under the brand name 'Sakuragawa' (Meiji 6).
1909
Relocated to Naganohara, Naganohara Town (Meiji 42, November); shop owner Denzaburo Sakurai became the town's first mayor, serving four terms over ten years.
1953
Asama Shuzo Co., Ltd. was established (Showa 28, October), with Takeshi Sakurai as president; obtained licenses for sake and Type-A shochu production.
1977
Obtained a liqueur manufacturing license (Showa 52, October).
1988
The Asama Shuzo Tourism Center opened and a new brewery factory building was completed (Showa 63, March).
1998
A new store and second factory building for the Tourism Center were completed and opened (Heisei 10, September).
2014
Takeshi Sakurai became president (Heisei 26, April).
