Eiga Hasegawa opens a sake shop in Hayashida, Harima Province (Edo period, Kanbun 6).
1690
The company begins brewing sake (Edo period, Genroku 3).
1839
The sake is named "Kimoroha ku" and "Matsu no Hana" (Edo period, Tenpo 10).
1865
Confucian scholar Tettoh Kono names the sake "Ebira", and production is expanded (Edo period, Keio 1).
1881
Based on an old poem, the brand name is changed to "Yaegaki" (Meiji 14).
1962
The company is incorporated and registered as Yaegaki Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Showa 37).
1972
The brewery begins producing junmai sake, shifting toward an all-rice, authentic brewing approach (Showa 47).
2005
The junmai daiginjo "Kuronomu" wins a gold medal and Best in Class award at the IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition) (Heisei 17).
