Umenishikiyamakawa Co. was founded in 1872 in Ehime Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, and has devoted over 150 years to crafting sake that balances handcraft quality with selective mechanization of simple tasks. The brewery has dedicated itself to ginjo production, accumulating more than 30 Gold Awards at the National Sake Appraisal, and its lineup spans everything from junmai daiginjo to lively nama-chozo styles. Umenishiki regards delicious sake as the fruit of harmony among ingredients, microbes, and the natural climate of Shikoku.
