Histoire
1923
Founder Daiichi Iida became independent from his family's sake brewery and opened a sake retail shop in Yao.
1963
Choryo Shuzo Co., Ltd. was established; the Yao factory was completed and a joint bottling license was obtained.
1964
Successfully developed the groundbreaking new product 'Yoshinosugi no Tarusake', bottled cedar-cask sake.
1993
Merged with Koryo Shuzo Co., Ltd., forming the current Choryo Shuzo Co., Ltd.
2008
Head office relocated to the Koryo-gura brewery in Nara.
2009
Launched the vintage junmai sake lines 'Inenokuni no Inenosake' and 'Futaho'.
2014
Abolished the traditional toji (master brewer) system to brew with in-house staff only, and launched the limited-distribution 'Shikizaki' line.
2022
Established 'Choryo Brew Park', a park facility next to the Koryo-gura brewery.
