Trayectoria
- 1872Founded at the current location in Ichikai, Tochigi Prefecture, as a branch brewery of a Shiga Prefecture sake maker, beginning sake production.
- 1965Won the Excellence Award at the first Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau Sake Awards.
- 2001Revived the traditional kimoto brewing method.
- 2008Won first place (top award) in the ginjo category at the 79th Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau Sake Awards.
- 2011The brewery's buildings and equipment were damaged in the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11; began exporting overseas that summer.
- 2013Won first place (top award) in the ginjo category at the 84th Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau Sake Awards.
- 2015Achieved 5 consecutive years of gold medals (15 consecutive years of awards) at the Annual Japan Sake Awards; completed a new brewery building.
- 2020Achieved 20 consecutive years of awards at the Annual Japan Sake Awards (gold medal selection was not held due to COVID-19); won first place (top award) in the ginjo and junmai ginjo categories at the 91st Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Taxation Bureau Sake Awards.
