Geschichte
1790
Rice merchant Yoshikubo Seizaburo of Mito, struck by the thought that fine Hitachi rice and pure Kasahara water yet no excellent local sake existed, converted his rice shop into a sake brewery and founded the business (Kansei 2).
1952
The brewery expanded its production and sales scale and was incorporated as a stock company (Showa 27), under 12th-generation president Yoshikubo Hiroyuki.
