The Henohenomoheji label at Akishika Shuzo signals something specific: bottles bearing the whimsical face mark are made exclusively from rice grown in the brewery's own fields in Nose, Osaka. This junmai ginjo namagenshu has earned top ranking among western Japan sakes and showcases Akishika's estate-farming philosophy, in which all employees grow rice through summer and brew through winter.
