Akita Shurui Seizo Co. dates to 1656 in Akita City, positioned at the confluence of three rivers at a site that local tradition has long regarded as a source of exceptionally pure water. The brewery partnered with Terlato Wines International to develop the Shimizunomai (Dance of the Clear Water) Pure series for export markets, crafting each expression to showcase Akita's famed Sake Komachi rice and snowmelt-fed groundwater. 'Pure Dusk' is the Junmai Daiginjo tier of the series, polished to daiginjo specifications, delivering aromas of sweet melon, pear, and a whisper of rice, with a honeydew and jasmine finish. Akita Prefecture is among Japan's leading rice-growing regions, earning its designation as the 'Land of Sake' on the strength of its grain quality and cold-climate brewing conditions.
