Tedorigawa is brewed by the family-owned Yoshida Sake Brewery, situated amid rice fields in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, along the Tedori River at the foot of the sacred Hakusan mountain range. The brewery is a devoted practitioner of the labor-intensive yamahai method, which relies on naturally occurring lactic acid bacteria for fermentation, producing sake known internationally through the award-winning documentary film The Birth of Sake.
