- 1790In 1790, founder Yaemon Sato received a sake brewing license under the Aizu domain's industrial promotion policy and began sake production and sales.
- 1799In 1799, the two-story earthen-walled brewing storehouse known as Edo-gura was built.
- 1911In 1911, the two-story earthen-walled Taisho-gura storehouse was built for full-scale brewing.
- 1927In 1927, the Showa-gura brewing storehouse was newly built with an added double furnace.
- 1944In 1944, under wartime industry consolidation, the brewery became the Yamatogawa plant of Yama Shuzo Co., Ltd., with the 7th-generation Yaemon as representative director.
- 1955In 1955, after passing through the Yama Sake Brewers' Cooperative, Yamatogawa Shuzoten (limited partnership) was established.
- 1990In 1990, the state-of-the-art steel-framed Iide-gura brewery, with about 1,490 square meters of floor space, was completed.
- 2018In 2018, the brewery won the gold award at the National New Sake Awards for the 8th consecutive year.
